"Welcome to the mesmerizing journey of the Kathmandu Pokhara Tour!" Embark on an enchanting expedition through the heart of Nepal, where ancient traditions meet breathtaking natural wonders. This 4 days extraordinary adventure takes you to two of the most captivating cities Kathmandu and Pokhara, each offering its own unique charm and allure.
After breakfast, we begin our exploration of Kathmandu, a city steeped in history and culture. Our knowledgeable tour guide will accompany you to some of the most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
We will get to visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, a significant Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Shiva. Marvel at the intricate architecture and witness devotees performing religious rituals on the banks of the Bagmati River.
Next, we head to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world. Immerse yourself in the spiritual ambiance as you observe monks and devotees circumambulating the stupa, spinning prayer wheels, and offering prayers.
In the afternoon, we explore the enchanting Kathmandu Durbar Square, a complex of ancient palaces, courtyards, and temples. Admire the artistic craftsmanship displayed in the temples of Hanuman Dhoka, Kumari Ghar (the residence of the living goddess Kumari), and Taleju Temple.
We’ll then head to the Swyambunath also known as the Monkey temple, which is the another Bhuddist stupa situated on the high hill of the Kathmandu valley. Spectate the bustling Kathmandu city from the stupa premises and delve into the Buddhist culture and traditions.
Finally we will head back to the hotel and rest.
After breakfast, we take a 30 min scenic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, a journey that offers breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayan peaks.
Upon arrival in Pokhara, check into your hotel and take some time to relax.
In the evening, you can stroll along the serene Phewa Lake, rent a paddleboat, or simply enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings.
Pokhara's lakeside area is dotted with cafes, restaurants, and shops, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and entertainment.
Today, we embark on a sightseeing tour of Pokhara, a city renowned for its natural beauty and captivating landscapes. Our first stop is Sarangkot, a hilltop viewpoint that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, as well as the picturesque Pokhara Valley.
If weather conditions get better, you can witness a spectacular sunrise or sunset from this vantage point.
Next, we visit the World Peace Pagoda, a stunning white stupa situated atop a hill. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, Phewa Lake, and Pokhara city.
In the afternoon, we explore the fascinating International Mountain Museum, where you can learn about the history, culture, and biodiversity of the Himalayas.
The museum showcases mountaineering artifacts, exhibits on local flora and fauna, and information about famous mountaineers and their expeditions.
If we have more time we can wander more otherwise return back to the hotel and rest.
Lakeside Hotel
After breakfast, we bid farewell to Pokhara and begin our journey back to Kathmandu. You have the option to choose between a scenic drive or a short domestic flight, both offering different perspectives of Nepal's landscapes.
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the airport or your chosen accommodation, marking the end of your Kathmandu Pokhara Tour. Take with you cherished memories of the diverse cultural heritage, natural beauty, and warm hospitality that Nepal has to offer.
In the evening our company will organize the farewell dinner for you at reputable restaurant in Thamel.
