Upper Mustang, known for its protected and isolated status, welcomes outsiders with a special permit system. This permit allows you access to the region and costs $500 US Dollars for a 10-day visit. Beyond the initial 10 days, an additional fee of $50 US Dollars per person per day applies.

It's important to note that the government issues permits to groups with a minimum of two members. However, solo travelers can still obtain a permit by joining an existing group. If you are a solo traveler, Nepal Holiday Organizer can assist in arranging permits by joining you with other travelers. It is not possible to visit upper mustang without guide and agency. Please provide a copy of your original passport for the restricted area permit application.
